A domestic tool inspired by objects of use. Borrowing features from utilitarian tools and other implements, this ladder is for use around the house, retrieving items from tall kitchen cabinets or dusting hard-to-reach places.

Each piece is handcrafted in my London workshop. Inspired by shovel handle construction, a section of green ash is cut partway down the centre, and the legs are steam-bent apart.
