Cutting Table - 2025

Olive Ash, Sycamore - 25000 x 950 x 950

Handmade for the British shirtmaker Emma Willis MBE, this piece was a collaborative effort between myself and fellow London-based designer maker Jacob Marks.

Constructed in a vibrant olive ash with sycamore detailing, the table was commissioned for Emma’s new store off Savile Row in Mayfair. It is purpose-built for measuring clients, and cutting tailored shirts and suits.

The turned legs and spindles are a subtle nod to the traditional stylings of the store, while the rest of the design remains clean and contemporary.

The bright strips and diamond notches are done in sycamore and reference a traditional shirtmaking technique whereby notches are cut into the edges of fabric to help line them up for sewing.

This project was a lovely collaborative process; involving Emma in many of the design decisions ensured she received a piece that was very personal to her and her story.
